[Apex Pilots]
Apex pilots are an integral part of your satisfaction with us as a company. After the customer requests a service, it is up to our pilots to give them the experience, expertise and reliable airmanship that we advertise. Based on their own abilities, proficiency and safety consciousness, you should be confident that your flight or project will be carried out with the utmost care.
Our pilots have been working in the helicopter charter and utility industry for over 25 years! From sea level to 14,000 feet, from downtown city heliports to remote ridgetops in Alaska, our seasoned professional pilots consistently and safely deliver passengers and cargo with the utmost care.
In addition to FAA required initial and annual recurrent training, drug and alcohol testing, our pilots undergo “profile specific” flight training. There are many flight profiles that require specific knowledge and skill to be able to conduct them safely and effectively. This ultimately serves the customer better with improved safety and cost effectiveness.
[Aircraft Maintenance]
Routine maintenance inspections are conducted under our comprehensive Part 135, FAA approved maintenance program. In addition to basic maintenance requirements, this means that our maintenance staff complies with our drug and alcohol policies and all recommended maintenance service items and inspections are mandatory.
Prior to any major long-term project, each aircraft goes through a thorough inspection and any components or inspections which could cause down time in the field are replaced or inspected early. This practice is routinely noticed by our customers as we complete busy and challenging seasons with zero down time assisting them in getting their work finished ahead of schedule.

Byron and Susan DeVries are the owners of ApexHeli Oregon, Inc. (DBA: Apex Helicopters). Their caring and enthusiastic attitude toward providing a top notch, safe helicopter service to their customers routinely attracts repeat as well as new business! Through responsible bidding practices and providing the customer with a systmatic rate for each specific project, we can maintain the ability to employ experienced personnel, upgrade and keep our helicopters and equipment above industry and regulatory standards and provide our customers with the safest most efficient aerial service possible.

[Safety Management]
Apex Helicopters has integrated and implemented the FAA’s Safety Management System (SMS) into its company procedures and daily operations. This systematic approach to identifying, mitigating and avoiding potentially dangerous ground and flight risks are imperative to a healthy and safe work environment. No thanks to our SMS, Apex Helicopters has no incidents, accidents or violations to date.
